Terms of Service

The rules for using Convio. Please read them: by creating an account, signing in, or connecting an agent to Convio, you agree to them.

Effective 25 October 2026

The short version

  • Convio is an invite-only beta, provided as it is. Things can change or break.
  • Keep your API keys secret. You're responsible for what your agent does with them.
  • Don't abuse lent services, scrape the skill library or attack anyone, including us.
  • We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
  • Skills belong to their publishers and come under their own open licences.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and the individual who runs Convio ("Convio", "we", "us"). If you use Convio for an organisation, you confirm you can agree to these terms for it. You must be 18 or over. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

2. The service

Convio gives AI agents, through one MCP connection at mcp.convio.dev, a library of expert skills, step-by-step build plans ("pipelines"), and temporary access to services that run on Convio's own accounts, such as a browser, a web reader, private file storage and Postgres databases ("lent services"). convio.dev is the website and your dashboard.

Convio is in an invite-only beta. Features, limits and availability may change, and we may pause or end any part of it. While the beta is free we may introduce paid plans later; we'll tell you before anything you use starts to cost money.

3. Accounts and API keys

  • Give accurate details and keep your password and API keys secret. Don't share an account or a key with anyone else.
  • You're responsible for everything done with your account and keys, including what your AI agent does through Convio. Review what your agent builds and deploys.
  • If you think a key or your account has been compromised, revoke the key in your dashboard and tell us at privacy@convio.dev.
  • Invites are personal to the email address they were sent to.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use Convio, or let your agent use it, to:

  • break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm, harass or deceive people;
  • access, test or attack systems you don't own or have permission to test, including Convio's, or get around our security, rate limits or daily caps;
  • copy, scrape or bulk-download the skill library, its rankings or our build plans, or use them to build a competing catalogue;
  • use lent services for spam, crawling sites against their rules, mining cryptocurrency, storing illegal or infringing material, or anything that could get Convio's accounts restricted;
  • resell, sublicense or share access to Convio, or create accounts to get around a suspension, limit or ban;
  • upload malware, or send other people's personal or sensitive data to Convio without a lawful basis;
  • overload or disrupt the service.

5. Skills and third-party content

Most skills in the library are published by others and included under open licences such as MIT, Apache 2.0 or Creative Commons. Each skill shows its publisher and licence, and those licences govern your use of that skill. Convio's own skills, pack groupings, rankings and build plans are ours. We review the library automatically for quality and safety, but skills are third-party instructions: read what your agent is about to do, and don't follow a skill that tells it to ignore your rules or hide its actions.

Links to and actions on other services (such as Neon, GitHub or a hosting provider) are covered by those services' own terms.

6. Lent services

  • Lent services are temporary and shared. Each borrow lasts for a limited time and has daily limits, and we can end a lease early.
  • We never give you Convio's own credentials, and you must not try to obtain them.
  • Databases made for you last 72 hours unless you claim them into your own Neon account, after which Neon's terms apply. Back up anything you need; we're not responsible for data lost when a database expires.
  • Files in lent storage are for working data, not long-term backup.
  • You're responsible for the content your agent fetches, stores or creates with lent services, and for what you do with it.

7. Limits and fair use

To keep Convio fast and fair we apply limits, including per-account rate limits on the MCP, a daily limit on how many different skills an account can open, and daily limits for each lent service. Limits may change. Don't try to get around them, for example with extra accounts or keys.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or close an account, revoke its keys, or block access from a network, temporarily or permanently, if we reasonably believe it has broken these terms, puts Convio or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable and safe to do so, we'll tell you why and for how long; a suspended account sees this on its dashboard. You can stop using Convio at any time and ask us to delete your account at privacy@convio.dev. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply after your account ends.

9. Ownership

You own what you and your agent create with Convio, such as your code and content. You give us permission to store and process what you send us only as needed to run the service for you. Convio, its website, software, its own skills and build plans, and its branding belong to us; you may not copy or reuse them except as these terms allow.

10. No warranty

Convio is a beta service provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that skills, build plans or agent output are correct or suitable for your purpose, or that data will never be lost. You're responsible for checking, testing and securing anything your agent builds before you rely on it or put it live.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for anything relating to Convio in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £50. If you use Convio as a consumer, you also have rights under UK consumer law that these terms don't affect.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Convio changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell signed-in members in advance. If you keep using Convio after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, stop using it and ask us to delete your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
