Why your agent needs one connection, not twenty

Industry
The tool-schema tax
Every MCP server you connect hands your agent a catalog of tool definitions. Add a dozen servers and a large share of the context window is spent describing tools before the agent has read a line of your code.
More tools should mean more capability. In practice, a crowded catalog makes the agent slower, more expensive and more likely to pick the wrong tool.
What a single connection changes
With one connection, the agent starts with a small set of entry points instead of every schema. It searches for the capability it needs, loads only that, and moves on.
Discovery instead of preloading
The agent describes what it wants to do, such as sending an email or deploying a build, and gets back the matching tool and its permissions. Nothing else enters the context.
More than tools
Tools only describe what an agent can touch. The same connection can also carry your project decisions, executable skills and approval checkpoints, which is where reliability actually comes from.
Where this is heading
We think the useful unit is no longer a pile of servers but a controlled layer between agents and the services you run. That is what Convio is built to be.
